The fabric is European CE standard, offers additional protection and cushioning while increasing durability throughout the life of the jacket. Its single layer of ballistic nylon is lighter than the FIE 800N elite double layer jackets. Many elite fencers train with these will and reserve the elite jacket for competitions. Cotton versus Nylon Jacket.

Cotton has more breathe-ability but its stiffer comparing to Nylon Jacket.

Nylon Jacket has less breath-ability but its more flexible and is more form fitting.
